On January 19, 2021, the company held a safety office meeting and the first quarter one communication and three prevention meeting in the conference room on the seventh floor. Vice Chairman Gao Yongxiong, General Manager Li Wen, Chief Engineer Zhu Zengxiao, Deputy General Manager of Production Shi Minghua, Deputy General Manager of Safety Zhao Xingben, Deputy General Manager of Communication and Prevention Bao Jiming, heads of the Communication and Prevention Department, Production Department, Geological Survey Department, Mechanical and Electrical Department, Safety Supervision Department, as well as coal mine managers, chief engineers, and safety mine managers attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by General Manager Li Wen.

General Manager Li Wen reported that a serious carbon monoxide exceedance accident occurred during the construction of the 11204 cutting face in Ruifeng Coal Mine, Dafang County, Guizhou Province. He requested that: 1. All departments and coal mines should seriously learn from the lessons of the accident, draw lessons from it, identify and fill in gaps, carefully arrange, and prevent similar accidents. 2. All departments and coal mines of the company have increased their risk investigation efforts, attached great importance to the hazards of toxic and harmful gases such as gas and carbon monoxide, analyzed and judged potential hidden disaster causing factors, and taken corresponding effective measures. 3. Various drilling construction measures for coal mines should be formulated based on the gas geology and coal seam occurrence on site. Drilling construction must be strictly carried out in accordance with the requirements of the construction measures, and the management and safety protection of the drilling construction site must be effectively strengthened to prevent drilling from accidentally penetrating the old roadway and goaf, causing harmful gases such as carbon monoxide to leak into the work site through the drilling.
